SPUG Conference - Nov '09

Each year, the Subscriber Profile User Group, or SPUG for short, gathers to further our goal of working together and sharing best practices to speed the introduction of a fully open, unified subscriber profile store at the heart of the converged network. This year, our conference is in London and we are very excited about it.

In the last two years since SPUG was founded, we have seen Subscriber Data Management rise to the top of many service providers’ plans. We’ve surveyed SPUG operator members about their priorities and from that have ranked the importance of the six major categories of applications. We’ll be presenting and discussing our latest application priority map at the conference.

We’ll be taking a very practical tone at the conference, examining the biggest challenges for the implementation and integration of applications and finding new ways to overcome them. Other topics on the agenda include an insight into the freshest developments in the SPUG Open Reference Architecture; a look at how to provide customized services based on real time usage patterns; and review the issue of customer care/self care. Although SPUG membership is currently limited to service providers, the SPUG Conference is not. We welcome new contributions to the debate - the more input, the better. So do please make time to register and attend the SPUG Conference 2009. I hope to see you in London.
